I've been skiing 4 times. The first time was in December 1984, water-skiing in Penang, Malasia (I know, not snow skiing, but this is not all about snow)! The second time was in the late '80's @ Valfrejus, France on the school ski trip. It was ACE! The third time was on my own, when I visited Courcheval 1850, France. I lost my balance on a red run on the first day, spent the next 2 days almost entirely bedridden, had to visit the chiropractor to unfuck my back, then had a rather wonderful time skiing much, much, more carefully! I also went on a tandem paraglide off the top of the mountain - W.O.W! This video is *NOT* me, but it's the same spot I took off from and very much representative of my experience :) The 4th time was a holiday one Christmas, where my parents went walking & I went skiing, around Schladming, Austria and it was definitely my favourite time. The slopes were almose entirely deserted and I would ski from top to bottom in the morning, as many times as I could manage, then ski half way down, to the resturant and have a hot-chocolate and viener shnitsel, while looking out at the scenery, then carry on skiing top to bottom, until the last homeward cable-car.
